Alex Cora sure knows how to celebrate a birthday.
Happy Thursday, everyone! The Tigers are enjoying a well-deserved day of rest after sweeping the Red Sox this week, in such dramatic games it felt like we were watching postseason baseball.
The team will be headed off to my home country, Canada, this weekend to face the Blue Jays, which should make for some fun games. In the meantime, we’ve got a look at a very unusual birthday gift from Alex Cora to his brother Joey; an unexpected Twins winning streak; and more chat about Javier Baez’s incredible walk-off win on Tuesday, that I think a lot of us will be talking about for a while.
Let’s jump into it!

- Speaking of that walk-off, the Tigers, Astros, and Cubs all had walk-off wins within four minutes of each other that night.
