Plus, how should you plan to pay for everything at Comerica Park this weekend?
Happy Friday everyone! The Tigers home opener is today, we’re back in the proper time zone, and all is right with the world!
We’ve got a little news for you heading into the weekend that includes some insights from Colt Keith about his big boo-boo during Wednesday’s loss to the Mariners. In other news we look at the uptick in contract extensions, and some leaked City Connect designs that very from fun to bizarre.
Let’s just get right into it.
Detroit Tigers News:
- Colt Keith admitted to his gaffe during Wednesday’s game against the Mariners—a moment that most certainly cost Tarik Skubal two earned runs and possibly lost the Tigers the game—and said afterwards, “There’s no better word for it, just kind of panicked.” While I’m sure all of us have had those moments, it wasn’t a great outing for Keith overall, despite his three walks. Keith went on to explain his mistake, saying , “I tried to come in and get it with one hand, and the hop beat me. I knew how many outs there were. I just opened up and for some reason, turned all the way. Just a messed-up play and it hurt us.”
- Here’s a little breakdown of what new food options are available at the park . Lots of burgers and sandwich options. Though I do wonder who decided on the non-kosher slider for Jewish Night… (Someone go try the Put Me in Coach for me, please.)
