
It’s quite the showing for Detroit.
Happy Friday, everyone! The Tigers will start their final series before the All-Star break tonight, against the Seattle Mariners. Then, a large contingent of Tigers’ players will be heading to Atlanta to represent Detroit in the All-Star Game! Should be a fun week ahead.
We have lots of All-Star Game content and other fun treats in today’s news, so we’re just going to jump right into it.
Detroit Tigers News:
- John C. Reilly was at Wednesday’s game and threw out the first pitch, then sang “Happy Birthday” to Jack White, who was in attendance (with his mom!) for his 50th birthday.
- Ahead of Wednesday’s game, Zach McKinstry was announced as being a member of the infield reserve for the All-Star Game.
- The selection of McKinstry means the Tigers have tied the Dodgers for the most players represented at the All-Star Game .
- It’s not just McKinstry headed to the game, as the Tigers’ bat boy Frankie also made the ASG crew!

- Could the Tigers still end up landing Alex Bregman?
