Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams have begun their offseason preparations, and a slew of roster moves was their first item on the docket following their season-ending loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Divisional Playoffs.
Among the Rams’ decisions was inking a deal with a former Chicago Bears draft pick, as well as several other players they know well.
It is the first of many waves of transactions that will rework the Rams’ roster this offseason.
Ex-Bears, Eagles Draft Picks Among Rams’ Roster Additions

According to ESPN’s NFL transaction wire on January 26, the Rams “signed Ts A.J. Arcuri and Dylan McMahon , WRs Tru Edwards , Brennan Presley and Tyler Scott , DBs Tanner Ingle and Cam Lampkin , LB Eli Neal , DT Bill Norton and TE Mark Redman to reserve/futures contracts.”
Arcuri, McMahon, and Scott are all former draft picks.
Only Arcuri, the 261st overall pick of the 2022 draft, was selected by the Rams. He has played in 10 games, including two during the 2025 regular season, with one start in his career.
The Bears drafted Scott 133rd overall in 2023. He has 18 receptions for 173 yards in 28 career games (four starts). McMahon was the No. 190 overall pick in the 2024 draft by the Philadelphia Eagles . His lone regular-season game came during the 2024 campaign with LA.
Ingle, Neal, and Presley all made appearances for the Rams this season.
Ingle appeared in three games, tallying 2 total tackles. Neal, who appeared in six games for the Rams in 2024, played in two games this past season. Presley’s one appearance was in 2025.
Lampkin appeared in four games for the Rams last season, but he, Neal, and Presley have all failed to record a stat during their limited time on the field. Edwards, Norton, and Redman are all awaiting their first regular-season opportunities.
The Rams also list rookie UDFA wide receiver Mario Williams as a reserve/future player.
2026 Offseason Could Be Big for Rams

Much of the discussion about the upcoming offseason for the Rams has revolved around their potential ability to find a replacement for Matthew Stafford with two first-round picks in the 2026 draft.
However, the Rams also have $43.1 million in cap space, per Over The Cap . Some of that will go towards the team’s incoming rookie class and retaining veterans on the roster.
Still, the Rams are positioned to double-dip this offseason.
They can build for the future in the draft while making some savvy splash moves in free agency to upgrade the group around Stafford, presuming he plays in 2026, which seems like the most likely outcome at this season.
The Rams must also plot around their young players who have already outplayed their current contracts and are in line for new ones.
“The Rams have some interesting roster decisions to make this offseason, with Kobie Turner , Steve Avila , Bryon Young and Puka Nacua entering contract years. All four have become valuable pieces, as the team has leaned into spending draft capital on players to line the defensive front and populate the offensive skill positions,” Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer wrote on January 26.
“The development of three of the four is part and parcel to that strategy, and it’ll be instructive to see if the Rams double down on it with new contracts. And with the team’s struggles at the corner position, which has intentionally received a little less investment, it became a bigger issue late in the year.”
As many Rams have indicated, the roster will look different in 2026. How different is unclear.
