Action? Horror? Comedy? Bring it on!
The Tigers have a scheduled off day today before seeing the Orioles come into town for the weekend. That means we all have a free evening, so what better way to spend our time than watching a movie?
As baseball fans, we’re all lovers of drama and action by default, but that may not necessarily translate into the type of movies we like to watch.
So, in our off day off-topic today, let’s share what great movies we’ve watched recently to let other BYB readers take inspiration. (I’ve heard great things about Sinners but don’t live near enough a theatre to catch it on the big screen, unfortunately).
I, personally, like a little of everything, but the best movies I’ve watched recently were Flow (the Oscar-winning animated movie about animals surviving a flood, it was wonderful), and Perfect Days, a lovely Japanese movie that’s very slice of life and not at all action-y. This past week I also delved into a Hunger Games series rewatch after reading the new book (spoiler for our next off day topic). Also checked out the Apple+ movie The Gorge with BYB favorite Anya Taylor-Joy in it, and it was fun but not at all memorable.
What have you watched recently? Anything to recommend? Anything to strongly suggest we avoid?
