Scores, news, and notes from the Detroit Tigers’ farm system for Monday, June 10, 2019.
The Flying Tigers took a 3-1 lead after scoring two runs in the fifth, but were unable to hold off Daytona’s comeback attempt in the later innings. Jason Foley and Mark Ecker both gave up runs in relief, tying the game, before the Tortugas squeezed a run across against Wladimir Pinto in the 10th to grab the lead. The Flygers moved their leadoff runner to third base with one out, but a double play off the bat of Brock Deatherage ended the scoring threat. Tom de Blok had a strong start, striking out seven in 5 2⁄3 innings.

Toledo Mud Hens (idle)
The Mud Hens were off on Monday, and will be back in action on Tuesday against the Durham Bulls. Toledo is riding a nice hot streak at the moment, with wins in seven of their nine games in the month of June. They are still well out of the playoff race at the moment, though; their 26-35 record has them 9 1⁄2 games behind first place Columbus. Tyler Alexander will start on Tuesday for Toledo.
Erie SeaWolves (postponed)
The SeaWolves saw their series finale of a four-game set against Trenton postponed on Monday due to rain. The two teams will make up the game on July 25. On Tuesday, the SeaWolves will make up another game — this one against the Reading Fightin’ Phils — that was suspended back on May 30. Play will begin in the top of the second inning with Cam Gibson on first base. Following the completion of that game, the SeaWolves and Phils will play their regularly scheduled matchup.
