Is Josh Allen Playing in the Pro Bowl Today? Bills QB’s Status

February 3, 2026 by Heavy

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills had a bittersweet season for the 2025-26 season. While Allen had MVP-worthy numbers and it nominated for the NFL’s MVP again this year, the Bills’ dreams of bringing home a championship ended with their loss to the Denver Broncos on Saturday, January 17, with a 33-30 overtime drop on the road at Empower Field at Mile High.

So, while there’s plenty of reason for Allen and the Bills to have pride in what they did during the 2025-26 season. But they have reason to be sad, too, considering they came so close to going all the way and didn’t get over the finish line.

But, the Buffalo Bills have a new leader now after announcing that Joe Brady is their new head coach. “Joe Brady has agreed to terms to become Buffalo’s next head coach,” the team announced, promoting Brady from offensive coordinator. “Brady agreed to terms on a five-year deal and will be Buffalo’s 21st head coach. Brady was promoted to the head coaching job from within.”

But, before Brady coaches his first game, there’s still football action left. The 2026 Pro Bowl games are taking place on Tuesday, February 3, and that will give Bills viewers a chance to see some of their players in action again. The 2026 Pro Bowl will air on ESPN on at 8 p.m. ET live from San Francisco.

So, will Josh Allen be at the Pro Bowl? What Buffalo Bills players will be at the Pro Bowl this year?

Allen is recovering from an injury. He had been playing through an injury in his right foot during the season but aggravated it in Week 16, and Allen underwent surgery on January 26, 2026, to repair a fifth metatarsal.

Allen is expected to be fully recovered in time for the team’s spring workout, which is good news. But, due to his injury, he won’t be participating at the Pro Bowl .

Still, the Buffalo Bills will be represented at the 2026 Pro Bowl. Bills players James Cook, Dion Dawkins and Dalton Kincaid, the latter replacing Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs , we be participating in the event, so fans will be able to watch them on the field.

The Pro Bowl is the NFL’s all-star event, displaying both skills competitions and non-contact flag football.

The Pro Bowl Features Flag Football

Since the Pro Bowl is now a flag football event, it’s also an opportunity for the league to highlight the debut of flag football for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

“Its inclusion, led by efforts of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) and supported by the NFL , showcases an aspirational new pathway to elite play and the incredible development of the sport globally,” the NFL said in a statement about flag football being part of the games.

Following the Pro Bowl, it will be back to business for the Bills under new head coach Brady. Since becoming the Buffalo Bills’ offensive coordinator, the team has averaged 29.6 points per game, 367.7 total yards per game, 145.4 rushing yards per game and 222.3 passing yards per game, according to franchise research .
