The Detroit Tigers responded to their first loss in a dozen tries at the Chicago Wigte Sox on Tuesday night with a narrow 5-4 victory over their American League Central rivals on Wednesday night. Now, the crew looks to take the four-game series with one more win on Thursday afternoon.
The triumph kept AJ Hinch and Co. atop the Major League Baseball standings with a 1.5-game lead over the New York Yankees overall and a six-game lead over the Minnesota Twins in the division. The Olde English D is still the only team to have reached the 40-win plateau so far.
