A smack in the face on Tuesday night will have Detroit looking for revenge in the Windy City.
The Detroit Tigers ’ streak of success on Chicago’s south side was snapped on Tuesday night when the White Sox prevailed for the first time in the last dozen tries at Rate Field with an 8-1 win . It was also their first loss to the ChiSox this season in five games.
While the drubbing was a bit embarrassing and difficult to watch, such days are inevitable over the course of a 162-game schedule. What matters most now is that the Motor City Kitties turn the page and move on to the next matchup.
The third of the four-game series in the Windy City is set to take place on Wednesday night at the same time and in the same place. This time around, it is the Sox who post a TBD ahead of the matchup, while the Tigers will debut Sawyer Gipson-Long, who has not thrown a big league pitch since 2023.
The details are rather scant, but here is a look at what is in store for the evening.
UPDATE: Jared Shuster will take the mound for the home squad.
