Detroit’s 13-1 win on Monday night gives them four wins and zero losses against Chicago.
The Detroit Tigers opened up the second leg of their current road trip with a 13-1 drubbing of the Chicago White Sox on Monday night, giving them their fourth win in as many tries against their American League Central rivals in 2025.
It also continued the Tigers’ winning streak at Guaranteed Rate Field, which now stretches to 11 straight games. That ties the mark for the team’s all-time best, with 11 straight wins at Minnesota’s Target Field (2015-2016) and Washington’s Griffith Stadium (1949–50), according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
The Motor City Kitties will once again try to keep a perfect record against the ChiSox — who own the second-worst record in baseball — on Tuesday night as they try to maintain their 1.5-game lead over the New York Mets for the best record in the majors. It is truly a matchup between the beast and the least of the American League.
The bad news is that we still do not know exactly who AJ Hinch plans to send out to the mound to start or open, as MLB’s probable pitchers still has our old friend TBD listed as of the time of publication. Meanwhile, Shane Smith takes the bump to defend his home field.
Let the chaos commence.
