Detroit eked out a victory on Friday night and look to keep the mojo flowing on Saturday at Toronto.
The Detroit Tigers opened up their six-game road swing on Friday night with a nail-biter of a victory over the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre, 5-4 . The good guys have now triumphed in four straight after dropping their home series to the Texas Rangers last weekend.
The Motor City Kitties are once again in position to pounce on a series victory with a win on Saturday afternoon. With the Los Angeles Dodgers taking a loss, AJ Hinch’s squad now is the sole owner of the best record in all of Major League Baseball, having earned double the number of wins as losses.
Saturday’s matchup comes with a bit of mystery as the Blue Jays have yet to announce their starter as of the time of publication. However, we can be certain that Baby Face Reese Olson will take the bump for the Olde English D.
Here is at least a look at what he has done so far this season.
UPDATE: Toronto announces LHP Eric Lauer as Saturday’s starter.
