For better or worse we’ve seen some surprising performances.
This season might only be a week old, but that certainly hasn’t stopped folks from making some bold assessments about how well the Tigers are going to perform over the coming months. The takes have been either doom and gloom or sunshine and rainbows.
And while it is certainly much too soon in the year (and even the month) to have a real idea of how any on the team is going to perform, that doesn’t meant it’s too early for us to talk about who has surprised us the most.
Perhaps it’s Spencer Torkelson, who has been on base more since the season started than he seemed to be all of last year. Maybe Casey Mize dazzled you with his one-hit wonder. Or, on the flip side, maybe you’re seeing things that surprise you in a bad way. Is Tarik Skubal relying too heavily on first-pitch strikes down the middle that teams have begun to expect? Is Colt Keith a liability on the infield? How do you feel like the bullpen arms are faring?
Let us know which player or players have surprised you the most in the first week of play, for better or worse.
