The Edmonton Oilers, meanwhile, saw early success with Corey Perry netting two goals in the first period. In the process, Perry became the third-oldest player to score two goals in a period in the postseason. Nicklas Lidstrom and Teemu Selanne being the other two. Connor McDavid tied the game late in the third, but the Oilers couldn’t hold on. Goaltender Stuart Skinner , returning to the net, made 25 saves but was unable to secure the win.
