We open up NHL Predictions with our featured game between the Rangers and Red Wings. Igor Shesterkin is expected to get the start in goal for the Blueshirts. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. New York was shut out by the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday, which has become a theme in several Rangers’ losses. Adam Fox is first on the club in assists (8) and points (11).

Cam Talbot is confirmed to get the start for Detroit against his old team. The Red Wings lost the last time out, but are 6-4 in the last 10 games. Detroit is one of the better penalty-killing units, as it’s tied for sixth with an 87.2 percent success rate. Dylan Larkin is first in goals (8) and points (18) so far this season.

The Rangers have played better, but the Red Wings get the victory.

Prediction: Red Wings win 3-2.
