We open NHL predictions with an emotional matchup between the Wild and the Canadiens. Minnesota has confirmed that it will go with lifelong Canadiens fan Marc-Andre Fleury in between the pipes. The Wild are 4-6 in the last 10 games, but have won the last two games coming into this one. Jared Spurgeon has totaled three goals with two assists over the past 10 games for the Wild.
Rookie netminder Jakub Dobes is the confirmed starter for the Canadiens. Montreal is 5-3-2 in the last 10 games, but have dropped the last three games in a row. Former top overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky has totaled four goals and three assists over the past 10 games.
It should be an emotional game and Fleury will get the storybook ending.
Prediction: Wild win 3-2.
Los Angeles Kings vs Tampa Bay Lightning
Head-to-Head: Kings 1-0 Lightning
Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

The second game of NHL predictions has the Los Angeles Kings visiting the Tampa Bay Lightning. Los Angeles is slated to go with David Rittich in goal for this game. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Kings are 3-6-1 in the last 10 games, including three consecutive defeats. Adrian Kempe has put together a great seasons with 24 goals and 20 assists for Los Angeles.
Andrei Vasilevskiy is the projected starter for the Lightning, who are 4-5-1 in the last 10 games. Tampa Bay has also dropped the last two games entering this matchup. Brayden Point is having another great season with 28 goals and 24 assists for the Lightning.
Both teams are in need of a victory, but the Lightning score the home win.
Prediction: Lightning win 4-2.
Washington Capitals vs Ottawa Senators
Head-to-Head: Capitals 1-0 Senators
Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: TSN5; Monument Sports Network 2; ESPN+
Our last game of NHL predictions is a battle of national capitals with the Washington Capitals taking on the Ottawa Senators. Washington is likely to go with Charlie Lindgren in the blue paint for this one. The Caps are 8-1-1 in the last 10 games and are playing like one of the hottest teams in the league. Ethen Frank has burst onto the scene with three goals and one assist over the last 10 games.
Ottawa has confirmed it will go with Anton Forsberg in net for the game. The Senators are 7-2-1 in the last 10 games and have three consecutive home wins heading into this game. Tim Stutzle has powered Ottawa with 16 goals with 32 assists for the 2024-25 campaign.
The Sens have been great at home, but the Capitals will get the road win.
Prediction: Capitals win 4-3.
Prop Bets of the Night
We round out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s go to our last game for some preferred props. Go with Alex Ovechkin to score for Washington as he continue to chase Wayne Gretzky . On the Ottawa end, take Shane Pinto to get the over on 0.5 points.
