The weekend is here and you may be in a close fantasy hockey matchup. We got you covered with some of the best 2024 Week 11 Weekend Pickups. We mentioned players from Florida, Washington, and Colorado in our Week 11 streamer preview to start the week. Those teams all have good schedules heading into the weekend and have players who should be considered for streams for the next few days. To add to your streaming options, here are some alternative players who may help you win your matchup this week.
Fantasy Hockey Week 11 Additions
New York Rangers’ New Kid Line
Will Cuylle remains a must-add player in many fantasy hockey formats. Cuylle has been one of the Rangers’ best fantasy hockey options this year. He has elite hit production coupled with good point production, making him one of the safest fantasy hockey players in the league right now. He has been a bright spot in a rather dim season in the Big Apple. With the Rangers playing two games this weekend, Cuylle is among the best 2024 Week 11 weekend pickups.
With Kaapo Kakko being traded to Seattle this week, the Rangers will be running with a new look ‘kid line ’ of Cuylle, Filip Chytil, and Alexis Lafreniere. It is unclear how this will affect Cuylle and Chytil’s ice time, but both are good adds for this weekend of NHL fantasy hockey.
Two Big Players in Utah are Available
Nick Schmaltz is a great addition to your fantasy roster for this weekend. Schmaltz is having a great stretch of games with 12 points in his last 12 games and is currently on a three-game point streak. He is also starting to put up more goals on the scoresheet, with all five of his goals this season coming within this 12-game stretch.
He has great deployment in Utah, playing first line with Clayton Keller and top power play exposure to Dylan Guenther. Both of these players have been on fire recently too. Guenther has tallied nine power play points in his last 13 games. Keller has produced 14 points in his last 13 games played. It would be smart to add a player like Schmaltz who has access to point producers of this level.
Behind them in the crease is Karel Vejmelka . Vejmalka has also been on a great run, with only two regulation losses in his last ten starts. Vejmelka is now up to a 7-7-2 record, with a .915 SV% and 2.37 GAA. He is the number one goalie right now in Utah and should get both of Utah’s games this weekend. At less than 50% rostered on Fantrax , Vejmelka is available to be picked up in the majority of leagues and should be rostered for this weekend.
William Carrier is a Banger League Honourable Mention
If you are in a banger league, add William Carrier this weekend. While he isn’t a dangerous offensive threat on the ice, he is a massive hit producer. Carrier ranks 13th in the league in hits and averages over three hits per game. This hit production comes with Carrier receiving lower TOI compared to other hit leaders.
In addition, Carrier has been adding to the scoresheet over this last stretch, with points in two of his previous four games. With a safe floor, Carrier is worth an add for Carolina’s two-game weekend.
