The Wingstop restaurant chain is going to be very, very busy over the next few hours after the Detroit Pistons finally saw their historic loss streak come to a merciful end.
The Pistons beat the Toronto Raptors 129-127, ending their losing streak at 28. In the process, Wingstop will now be obligated to fulfill a promotion that they haven’t had to do in about two months.
The restaurant chain, which as you might imagine specializes in chicken wings, has had a season-long promotion of five free wings for Pistons ticket holders after every win this season. As you might imagine, they haven’t had to make good on that promotion for a while.
But with today’s win for the Pistons, Wingstop had a simple message: “Let there be wings.”

The restaurant has been going viral as Pistons fans have had all kinds of hilarious jokes relating to the chain finally having to make good on the offer of free celebratory wings:

The Detroit Pistons set the record for the longest losing streak in a single season and tied the all-time record for longest losing streak spread over multiple seasons.
That streak will end at 28 and hopefully won’t ever be matched by anyone, let alone the Pistons.
