Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs have been in the offseason for weeks now, which means that Kelce has enjoyed plenty of time for wedding planning with his future wife, Taylor Swift. Now, a report indicates an interesting details about the couple’s upcoming wedding, which is expected to take place sometime in 2026.
Swift has really had her hands full the past few months. She and Kelce got engaged in August 2025, and then, just a few months later, on Oct. 3, Swift released her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
“Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ combines new, exciting sonic turns with incisive storytelling,” Rolling Stone magazine said at the time of the album’s release. “But with every step Swift takes, she sheds those feelings of loss and despair.”
The publication added, “‘Showgirl’ is the castle she built out of all the bricks that have been thrown at her. She begged on her knees to change the prophecy, and the love she writes about here did just that. She lost her life’s work, but now the empire belongs to her. Everything you lose is a step you take. It’s a lesson she even offers her lover in the bridge of ‘Opalite’ when she sings ‘Failure brings you freedom.’”

So, aside from doing promotion for “Showgirl,” Swift has been busy doing wedding planning with Kelce.
As it turns out, that wedding is likely going to include a lot of flowers. How many is a lot? Try one million. According to a Thursday, January 29, report from The Kansas Star , the Kelce and Swift wedding is predicted to have up to one million flowers.
Pete Grathoff of The Kansas Star sources an interview in the Providence Journal with Christine Mandese, “a luxury wedding florist” based in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, who told the newspaper she believes Swift could spend $1 million on flowers. She said that would buy anywhere from 100,000 to 1 million flowers.
Mandese also told the outlet that the flowers alone in the wedding may require the help of dozens of people and take serious planning. “Her wedding, for flowers alone, is going to take a whole production team,” she said.
Grathoff added, “The wedding is rumored to be planned for June 13 and could take place in Rhode Island, where Swift has a home.”

Sure, Rolling Stone gushed over Swift’s album, but the numbers were also strong. In December, news emerged that Swift was No. 1 on the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) roster of top-certified albums of the year for 2025, according to Billboard .
The RIAA announced its tally of 2025 certifications, and Swift received the honor for the second consecutive year. Swift also was No. 1 on the year-end roster with the highest certification level and the year’s No. 1 album for “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Also, earlier in 2025, Swift was honored for becoming the first female artist in history to surpass 100 million RIAA-certified album units for her full catalog. Swift’s 11th studio album, “Tortured Poets Department,” also topped the 2024 RIAA album tally.
“As she reaches for new heights,” Rolling Stone added of the album, “Swift still provides glimpses behind the curtain at her guitar-stained vulnerabilities.”
