Pistons tie their season-high in points against the Wizards
The Detroit Pistons finally managed to get a win, breaking a five-game losing streak and beating the Washington Wizards , 132-102. That also ends Detroit’s 0-8 streak this season against the Wizards, the Charlotte Hornets , and the Chicago Bulls . Christian Wood paced the Pistons with 22 points off the bench, and Tim Frazier , who got the start at point guard, added 17 points and six assists.
Winning > Losing

The season is (most likely) lost for the Pistons, but from an internal perspective, it’s beneficial for the team to not begin their six-game road trip on a six-game losing streak. Additionally, the Pistons’ young guys performed well tonight – we already discussed Wood, Bruce Brown Jr. returned from a calf injury to score 12 points with five assists off the bench, and Svi Mykhailiuk (who figures to get a lot more playing time, due to Luke Kennard’s injury ) shot four-of-nine from downtown on his way to 12 points. The Pistons were winning so handily, we even got our first look at Two-Way player Louis King, who made his first NBA shot.
The Pistons begin their road trip Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs .
