The Steph Curry Show comes to LCA
The Detroit Pistons welcome Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and the Golden State Warriors for their annual visit to Little Caesars Arena. What has, for the better part of a decade, been a David vs. Goliath situation, suddenly looks much more like an even matchup. These are no long the perennial NBA Finals -contending Warriors, and these don’t appear to be the same pushover Pistons hoping that lightning strikes and they can steal a victory from one of the NBA’s best.
The Warriors enter tonight stumbling into an 18-18 record, having lost 15 of their previous 21 games. The Pistons, meanwhile, are one of the hotter teams, record-wise, in the NBA. Yes, they’ve played some nail-biters, and yes, those teams have been missing some important players, but you don’t luck your way into eight wins in nine games.
With the steps forward that Cade Cunningham has taken, it’s also an opportunity to see how capable he is of going toe-to-toe with a megastar like Curry. He’s bested Anthony Edwards, Kevin Durant, De’Aaron Fox, and LeBron James during this run of games. Let’s see what he can do to keep pace with Curry.
