Pistons hope to give Devin Booker a tough time in his home state.
The first game of the JB Bickerstaff era might have only been preseason, but, man, did it feel like a breath of fresh air for the Detroit Pistons . The offense seemed like it belonged in the 21st century, the defensive communication and activity level were on point, and there was a solid mix of young players and veterans contributing on both sides of the floor. It made me legitimately excited for a second game that doesn’t count, and will likely only feature a half of starter-level players — for the Suns, anyway. The Pistons, by virtue of having so many new bodies on the roster, and new schemes implemented by a new staff will likely see more action out of rotation players. Besides, even if they sit vets like Tobias Harris, Malik Beasley, and Tim Hardaway Jr., that still leaves plenty of time for the 24-and-under set.
