Detroit Pistons playing their NBA-leading 22nd game
The Detroit Pistons will attempt to kick a team while it is down with a home game against the scuffling Philadelphia 76ers . The Sixers enter tonight with just three wins. But the Pistons are on the end of a back-to-back, and Philadelphia has Paul George likely returning to the lineup. The Pistons have played perhaps their season’s worst and best games the past two contests, with an embarrassing loss to the Memphis Grizzlies and a convincing win against the Indiana Pacers, respectively. Detroit is the more talented team entering tonight, but Philly has players who can get hot and beat you. Detroit also has a penchant for letting players who can score in bunches get hot and find their groove. Despite some early season struggles, though, JB Bickerstaff and his team seem to be unlearning at least some of the bad habits that have plagued Detroit the past few seasons. They are turning in more consistent defensive performances, and doing so tonight will go a long way to dispatching the Sixers.
