Tobias Harris and Andre Drummond face their former teams
The 0-4 Detroit Pistons are still on the hunt for their first victory of the season. The Utah Jazz are the only other winless team in the NBA. It’s not for lack of trying in Detroit’s case. They have faced four playoff teams, including the two potential top seeds in the East in the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers , have led in the fourth quarter of reach game, and have no wins to show for it.
Tonight, they attempt to best their opponent to the bitter end, and maybe the Philadelphia 76ers will be kind enough to oblige. This is also an opportunity for Tobias Harris, who has been disturbingly quiet in his first four games, will play his former team. Harris is likely to get a hearty round of boos when he touches the ball. The better he plays, the louder the boos will get. So I hope that the Sixers fans have some hoarse throats when it is all said and done.
On the Sixers side of the equation, Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson will also be playing against their former teams. In reality, this game likely comes down to Tyrese Maxye, however. If the Pistons can find a way to contain the dynamic guard, or best him with a stellar performance of their own, the Pistons have a shot.
