Detroit Pistons looking for a little matinee magic
Cade Cunningham is looking for his fourth consecutive triple-double as the Detroit Pistons take on the Houston Rockets in a Sunday matinee at Little Caesars Arena. Cunningham is averaging 19.7 points, 11.3 assists, and 10.7 rebounds during his three-game tear. Cunningham is playing well in that stretch, and has had strong runs on defense, but he could be even better. Cunningham is also averaging four turnovers in his last three and his 3-point shot has disappeared. He is connecting on only 15% from deep. If Cunningham can balance his need to put pressure on defenses with his scoring, his ability to find his teammates for open looks, eliminate the unforced errors, and find his 3-point shot, he could explode. But that’s also a lot of ifs, especially against a team like the Rockets who sport a strong defense.
