Detroit looks to cool down the Heat
If you consider Erik Spoelstra the best coach in the NBA, which I do, you maybe want to fear what he has in store for the Detroit Pistons tonight as his Miami Heat visit Little Caesars Arena. It’s rare when you can say an NBA coach, especially a great, literally costs his team an NBA game, but that’s exactly what happened when these two teams met in November.
Spoelstra called a timeout in overtime when the Heat did not have one, and that led to the Pistons getting the lead with just 1.1 seconds left to play. They ultimately won the game 123-121. The Heat coach might be out for a bit of revenge tonight. The Heat come into the game having won four straight and scorching the nets offensively. Again, as a Pistons fan, I am fearful.
