Pistons look to keep pace with Ja Morant and friends
The Detroit Pistons are likely to still be without Cade Cunningham as they face a Memphis Grizzlies team thankful to have Jar Morant back in the lineup. The Grizzles were able to weather the storm with Morant sidelined for eight games, going 5-3 in the stretch, but are happy to have their star point guard on the floor once again. Memphis is coming off of a 123-98 win over the Portland Trail Blazers . In his return to the lineup, Morant scored an easy 22 points in just 23 minutes of action. The Pistons, meanwhile, are coming off a hard-fought win over the Toronto Raptors that they won at the buzzer courtesy of Jaden Ivey.
Ivey has played well with Cade out of the lineup, but to win tonight, the Pistons will need more from their veteran perimeter shooters. Detroit is shooting just 35% from deep in its past four games. That includes a combined 19-of-59 from the veteran duo of Malik Beasley and Tim Hardaway Jr.
