JB Bickerstaff sees how his new team stacks up against his old team
The Detroit Pistons showed in game one, they could start but not finish. Game two against the Cleveland Cavaliers is an even tougher assignment, and one where I’m hoping it at least remains competitive into the fourth quarter so that we can see if the Pistons have learned any lessons they can carry over into the next game. But this is a tough, tough matchup. Imposing big men manning the paint, explosive guards who can do it on their own. This will be a big test for Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey as they seek to navigate some treacherous waters and find open looks for themselves and their teammates while also not getting cooked on defense.
