Two of the league’s best defenses of the last month square off
Tonight might be a rock fight. The Detroit Pistons , the league’s third-best defense for the past 40 days, faces the Portland Trail Blazers , the league’s second-best defense in that same span. The Pistons will be looking to prevent a three-game losing streak. Detroit has only lost three in a row once since late November. The Blazers have been playing well, but are in the midst of a brutal part of their schedule. They have lost three of the past four, but those losses came at the hands of the Cavaliers (in overtime), the Celtics , and the Thunder. They will be short-handed, however, with Deandre Ayton, Deni Advija, and Robert Williams out of the lineup.
