JB Bickerstaff criticizes officiating after loss to Knicks: Sometimes Cade Cunningham is refereed differently

April 29, 2025 by Hoops Hype

Omari Sankofa II: JB Bickerstaff:” These last couple of games it’s hard for me to believe Cade’s only getting to the free throw line four times … it’s a little surprising that he doesn’t get to the free throw line more. I think sometimes he’s refereed differently because he’s a big guard.”

Just starting to watch Knicks-Pistons. Why in the world did JB Bickerstaff use his coach’s challenge on that play in the first quarter?

Can’t believe Cade didn’t take that 3. Had the opening to take it and get a 2 for 1 down 6. – 9:50 PM
Vincent Goodwill @VinceGoodwill
Cunningham could’ve cut it to one, loses it before getting hit by Towns. Brunson gets a layup then and next time down.
112-105. 59 seconds left – 9:46 PM

Huge swing by the Knicks to finish the third. A deep 3 from McBride and then Josh Hart working the glass, offensive rebound and finish at the buzzer.
93-83 after 3.
Cunningham will have to sit, and nobody else can generate shots. Harris-Beasley: 1-14 FG – 9:16 PM

These Cade Cunningham / Jalen Duren pick-and-rolls are killing the Knicks. They’re keeping KAT high to try and slow Cade down, low man help isn’t there. pic.x.com/x9OpcnazhU – 9:06 PM

Nate Duncan @NateDuncanNBA
All tough midrangers for Detroit so far. Their execution not looking very good. They get the switch of OG off Cunningham–only for Harris to go at OG instead. – 7:14 PM
