With a career-high 20 assists, Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded the first 35-point, 15-rebound, 20-assist game in NBA history.
“If you guys are in the right spots, I don’t have to see you, I’m going to find you.”

Adem Bona had a career night against Giannis Antetokounmpo (who, naturally, had one of the more ridiculous games you will see).
A story on Bona’s excellence, plus what you need to know about Nick Nurse’s pregame comments on Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey:

And on that goaltend, Giannis Antetokounmpo has his 20th assist of the night.
That is a career-high in assists. It’s the third-most assists in a game in franchise history behind Scott Skiles (24) and Guy Rodgers (21).
Antetokounmpo has 35pts/17reb/20ast on the night. – 9:20 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo is up to 30 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists and the Bucks lead, 109-96, with 6:42 left.
I believe that is the first 30/15/15 triple-double of his career. – 9:03 PM
Eric Nehm @eric_nehm
Heading to the fourth quarter, the Bucks lead, 96-87.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has 24 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists through three quarters.
The Bucks have four more – Lopez (13), Kuzma (13), Trent (13), Rollins (10) – in double digits. – 8:47 PM
Eric Nehm @eric_nehm
Quick 4-0 run for the Sixers after Giannis Antetokounmpo went to the bench and the Bucks lead, 77-75, with 5:47 left in the third quarter.
The Bucks have been +8 with Antetokounmpo on the floor tonight. – 8:32 PM
Eric Nehm @eric_nehm
Kyle Kuzma picks off a pass, tosses it ahead to Giannis Antetokounmpo and then fills the lane to get it back from Antetokounmpo for a dunk.
Bucks up, 73-66, with 8:08 left in the third quarter. – 8:24 PM
Adam Aaronson @SixersAdam
Halftime: Bucks 61, Sixers 59.
Predictably, the Bucks stormed back in that second quarter to retake control of the game.
Giannis has 20-7-8.
Bona: 14 points, 7-8 FG

Eric Nehm @eric_nehm
Bucks lead, 54-51, with 3:17 left in the second quarter.
Giannis Antetokounmpo up to 18 points, five rebounds and seven assists in 17 minutes as the Bucks have taken the lead. – 7:56 PM
Eric Nehm @eric_nehm
Brook Lopez has just picked up his third foul of the game with 6:11 left in the second quarter.
This is around when Giannis Antetokounmpo has been coming back in, but typically it’s to join Lopez on the floor, not sub in for him. – 7:50 PM
Adam Aaronson @SixersAdam
With Giannis scoring at will against Castleton, the Sixers call an audible and go to zone, with Yabusele captaining the unit. Do not envy Castleton entering this game and having to guard Giannis within hours of signing with the team – 7:47 PM
Eric Nehm @eric_nehm
Really nice manipulation of the defense there by Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Gave a look at Lopez in the post and then snapped the pass to Trent in the corner for a 3. – 7:43 PM
Adam Aaronson @SixersAdam
After one: Bucks 25, Sixers 39
Stellar two-way frame from the Sixers that nobody saw coming, led by Adem Bona (12 points, three boards) + Quentin Grimes (three points, six assists). Bona more than held his own defending Giannis Antetokounmpo as well. Sixers led by as many as 17. – 7:33 PM
Eric Nehm @eric_nehm
Couple misses through contact from Giannis Antetokounmpo, including a backrimmed dunk, and the Bucks are down, 33-22, with 2:22 left in the first quarter.
Three turnovers and 9-of-19 shooting thus far for the Bucks. Meanwhile, the 76ers are shooting 66.7% from the field. – 7:29 PM
Kyle Neubeck @KyleNeubeck
Adem Bona has 10 points in less than six minutes to open this game. Just going right at Giannis and Brook Lopez – 7:21 PM

After five empty possessions, Giannis Antetokounmpo finishes through the contact from Guerschon Yabusele to get the Bucks on the board tonight.

Jorge Sierra: Giannis Antetokounmpo has passed Joe Johnson in scoring for No. 49 in NBA history . Also: Rudy Gobert now ahead of Dave DeBusschere in rebounds. He’s No. 47 all-time. -via Bluesky / April 4, 2025

The Bucks showed a ‘Welcome Back’ picture collage of Budenholzer during a timeout in the first quarter. As the PA announcer acknowledged him and the fans were cheering and clapping, the jumbotron cut to showing Budenholzer coaching his team on the bench. “I didn’t know it,” Budenholzer said after the game about the short tribute. “No, I didn’t hear or see anything.” Antetokounmpo, who saw the picture collage on the jumbotron, thought the Bucks should’ve had a tribute video for Budenholzer. “They had ‘Welcome back Coach Bud,’ said a perplexed Antetokounmpo. A reporter said it’s hard to have a coach tribute video. Antetokounmpo wasn’t buying that. “It’s not hard,” he said . -via Arizona Republic / April 3, 2025
