Not sure how to root for either Jalen Brunson or Tyrese Haliburton
For those of you who were frustrated by Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai-Gilgeous Alexander’s rampant foul-baiting in the Thunder’s Game 1 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, can I introduce you to Jalen Brunson?
The New York Knicks star has made a career out of not just his immense skill but also his adept ability to get a friendly whistle and be an absolute monster in the clutch. The Detroit Pistons were on the receiving end of all of the best of Brunson’s traits in their first-round loss at the hands of the Knicks. He will be going against a fellow traveler among the league’s most clutch performers in Tyrese Haliburton, who just has a sixth sense in how to rip the heart out of his opponents. It’s remarkable, really.
Also, this is the freaking Knicks and the Pacers. I’m not sure how, as a Pistons fan in good standing, I could possibly root for either of these teams. Hopefully, it is some good basketball in spite of itself.
