Best Fits For Alex Condon In The 2025 NBA Draft

April 1, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

The Florida Gators have made their way back to the Final Four with the help of forward Alex Condon . Standing at six-foot-eleven, Condon has demonstrated himself to be a versatile frontcourt player who can excel on both ends of the floor. Undoubtedly, his skills, athleticism, and size will draw interest from numerous teams in the NBA Draft. Let’s dive into the best fits for Alex Condon among the teams in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Best Fits For Alex Condon In The 2025 NBA Draft

Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons would serve as an excellent place for Condon, and he fits well with the rest of their roster. In Condon, the Pistons will get additional frontcourt depth behind Jalen Duren, and Condon can serve as a backup big. Additionally, Detroit has no bigs taller than six-foot-ten, which Condon can help with at his height. Additionally, Condon’s ability to serve as a passing big can help make Detroit’s offense even more potent around Cade Cunningham . On Condon’s end, he will play with excellent guards like Cunningham and Jaden Ivey . He will benefit from the attention they draw from attacking the paint. Also, there is a path for Condon to play minutes in the rotation given Detroit’s lack of depth at center. All things considered, Condon will do well with the Pistons.

Los Angeles Lakers

While it is unlikely that Condon will still be in the draft by the time that the Lakers get to make their selection, he is still an excellent fit with their team and there are avenues in which the Lakers can move up in the draft. For Los Angeles, their clearest need as a team is at the center position. While Condon will need more development, he can step in and help alleviate their issues at that position. He can serve as an athletic big who can help protect the paint. Also, Condon’s offensive capabilities in the paint and as a passer will fit well next players like Luka Doncic , who was acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Mavericks, and LeBron James .

As for Condon, there are numerous benefits to playing on the Lakers. Notably, he will get to play next to amazing playmakers like the aforementioned Doncic and James, as well as Austin Reaves . He will get plenty of great scoring opportunities playing next to those stars. Additionally, he will get the opportunity to learn from them and the rest of the roster, many of whom are playoff-tested veterans. Condon will also play next to excellent defensive personnel who can help shoulder the burden. Overall, Condon will fit well with the Lakers and its roster.

Washington Wizards

Like the other teams, Condon fits well with the Wizards, and Washington will be an excellent place for his development. In particular, the Wizards need additional frontcourt depth next to Alex Sarr . They lack quality frontcourt pieces around him, which is something that Condon can help fix. Condon’s two-way potential fits well next to the other defensive prospects they have like Bilal Coulibaly . Not only that, but Condon’s potential as a passer can help Washington and their offensive woes. Condon himself will benefit from the playing time he will get with the Wizards. He will get all the development he needs with no expectations of being an immediate productive player. The Wizards will be a great place for Condon to develop and become a piece of their future.
