Andre Drummond: “When I got to Cleveland, I had a chip on my shoulder. I felt like I had to prove that I was still that guy. After the Detroit situation, I felt like I needed to establish my dominance from day one. I wasn’t going to let anyone question me. I wanted to be a leader, and I didn’t want to make the same mistakes twice. In Cleveland, I learned a lot about myself. I was playing with a chip on my shoulder because I was angry about how things ended in Detroit. I always said I’d play my whole career in Detroit, so when that didn’t happen, it stung. But I used that as motivation. I went to Cleveland with the mindset of showing the world that I’m still Andre Drummond, still a dominant force.”
