Who is your preferred first-round playoff opponent for the Lions?

Checking in with Detroit Lions fans for our latest SB Nation Reacts survey about their Week 16 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Detroit Lions fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

In this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey, we are asking fans two questions:

  1. Are you confident the Lions are headed in the right direction? (weekly poll)
  2. Who is your preferred first-round playoff opponent for the Lions?

With regards to the first survey question, this is a question that we will ask weekly and track the results throughout the season. Here are the results we have seen so far:

  • Following Week 1 win over Chiefs: 99%
  • Week 2 loss to Seahawks: 86%
  • Week 3 win over Falcons: 97%
  • Week 4 win over Packers: 99%
  • Week 5 win over the Panthers: 99%
  • Week 6 win over the Buccaneers: 99%
  • Week 7 loss to the Ravens: 95%
  • Week 8 win over Raiders: 98%
  • Bye week: 98%
  • Week 10 win over the Chargers: 99%
  • Week 11 win over the Bears: 97%
  • Week 12 loss to the Packers: 80%
  • Week 13 win over the Saints: 84%
  • Week 14 loss to the Bears: 58%

Lions fans’ confidence in the direction of the franchise hit a season low after the loss to the Bears. But after Detroit dismantled the Denver Broncos 42-17 in primetime and the playoffs are within reach —including the first division crown in 30 years —it feels likely that confidence could be on the rise this week.

For the second question in the survey, we are giving you four options to choose from as your preferred opponent in the first round of the playoffs (listed in order of current seeding):

6. Minnesota Vikings : 7-7
7. Los Angeles Rams : 7-7
8. Seattle Seahawks : 7-7
11. Green Bay Packers 6-8

Technically, the NFC South has three teams that could also be in the mix—Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7), New Orleans Saints (7-7), and Atlanta Falcons (6-8)—but since the Lions have already beaten all three of them, we did not include them in this survey.

So who is it gonna be? A Vikings team they would play three times in four weeks? A potential Jared Goff redemption game against the team that cast him aside? Finally getting past a Seahawks team the Lions haven’t beaten since 2012? Or a revenge game against a Packers team that won the last time they were in Ford Field?

Be sure to share your thoughts about your preference for the Lions’ first-round playoff opponent in the comments, and vote in the SB Nation Reacts surveys below. Results from the Reacts surveys will be posted later this week and make sure to check out DraftKings Sportsbook , the official sportsbook partner of SB Nation.
