Setting goalposts and breaking down the aims of Detroit
Are you ready to draft? It’s finally here, and all the nattering and nonsense will soon vanish. Brad Holmes urged everyone to sit back and enjoy the show, but that will never happen; the chase is always greater than the catch, and people want to know if it’s going to rain tomorrow.
This is the final preview episode of the Pride of Detroit PODcast, because after that it’s reviewing the draft. We’ve published a whole series of positional previews and favorite players of the draft, and on this episode we’re taking a huge bite out of everything left. We start with Brad Holmes’ comments, because we believe in dissecting what we think the Detroit Lions will do just as much as what we want to see them do.
We also take a stab at the goals and aims of the Lions. Everyone loves draft grades, so we try to predict what would make an “A+” draft and what a “F” draft would look like too. We also discuss a few more names deep into the draft that could be value, prospects who we don’t understand the love for and so much more.
