Meko Scott and I (Morgan Cannon) are back on the Pride of Detroit YouTube channel , and are joined by Senior Editor at Pride of Detroit, the one and only Ryan Mathews.
Ryan joins us to discuss the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft , including the prospect of the Detroit Lions making a trade in the first round. We discuss why the Lions may want to trade up in this draft, and which players make sense from a targeting perspective for general manager Brad Holmes.
From there, we dove into what the move would cost from a draft capital standpoint, as well as what the haul would look like if the Lions decided to move down in the draft. We also touched on some of the pros and cons associated with moving up or down, and what some of the longterm ramifications might be.
Overall, it was a really fun discussion with the guys, and should answer a lot of questions for fans wanting the Lions to make a trade later this month.
