Meko and Morgan are back on the Pride of Detroit YouTube channel doing their first and only seven-round mock draft ahead of this week’s 2025 NFL Draft.
If you have been following Pride of Detroit for a while now, then it’s probably no secret that I personally do not love mock drafts like so many others do. I think sometimes we as fans and analysts can get too wrapped up in them, and that they can skew fact from fiction ahead of the actual 2025 NFL Draft taking place later this week in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
However, I do think they have their place when used properly. So when my good friend and co-host, Meko Scott, came to me with the idea of us doing a seven-round mock draft for our Detroit Lions on the Pride of Detroit YouTube Channel , I won’t lie—I got a little excited.
Overall, it was a really fun and thought-provoking exercise that generated some fun talking points. We used PFF’s mock draft simulator, and we put in a few ground rules for ourselves to try and make things as realistic as possible. And to not spoil anything from the video, we did make one trade in the first-round of the draft, and it may have something to do with the player featured in the thumbnail of the video below.
