If you missed our LIVE SHOW for our Movember finale, featuring Mina Kimes and Herman Moore, here are the highlights.
Last week, Pride of Detroit held its first ever live show—a two-hour event to close out our Movember campaign to support the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center. The entire night was a rousing success at the Magic Stick room at the iconic Majestic Theater.
For the entire month of November, we ended up raising a total of $54,151 for the Rogel Cancer Center, crushing our previous record for our Movember campaigns. Thank you to all who donated, showed up to the live show, or even just shared the details of our campaign. We truly made a difference this past month for a cause I care about deeply.
If you missed the live show, you can watch the entire two-hour show here .
But atop of this page is an abridged version, cut together by the fantastic Reno Presents , who produced the entire show. The show features a Q&A from our live audience, giveaways, Lions talk, and appearances from ESPN’s Mina Kimes and former Lions legendary receiver Herman Moore.
It was a jam-packed night full of fun, Lions analysis, and a whole bunch of shenanigans. To put a button on Movember, here’s a list of people I want to thank:
- The entire POD crew, including the people on the written side who helped pick up slack when I had to focus on the Movember events
- The fantastic people at the Majestic Theater, who hosted our live event and produced a brilliant show
- SB Nation’s Joel Thorman and David Fucillo, who put enough trust in us to invest in a big event like this
- Director of Digital Fundraising at the UM Rogel Cancer Center Kristen Kurtz and Assistant Director of Corporate Partnership at Michigan Medicine Gene Skidmore for not only helping connect us with Rogel Cancer Center, but are just fantastic people.
And the following people who served as guests during our Movember campaign:
- ESPN’s Mina Kimes
- Former Lions wide receiver Herman Moore
- Detroit News’ Richard Silva and Nolan Bianchi
- Detroit Football Network’s Justin Rogers
- MLive’s Ben Raven
- The Athletic’s Colton Pouncy
- AtoZ Sports’ Mike Payton
Can’t wait to do it again next year!
