Dan Miller’s radio call of the Detroit Lions’ game-winning FG against the Houston Texans is as perfect as you’d expect.
Victory Monday just hits a little different when you just watched your team complete a miraculous comeback in front of a national audience.
The Detroit Lions scored 19 unanswered points in the second half to absolutely steal a game away from the Houston Texans . Five Jared Goff interceptions? Doesn’t matter. A running game that was completely kept in check for three quarters? That’s fine.
None of it mattered to the Lions, as they just kept coming and coming until the Texans couldn’t stop them any longer. The Lions are now 8-1 and must feel invincible after winning a road game vs. a quality opponent despite one terrible half of football.
One of the best perks of Victory Monday is enjoying the best calls from Lions play-by-play radio announcer Dan Miller, and this week provided an all-timer from Miller.
The Lions shared his call of Detroit’s game-winning, 52-yard field goal as time expired, and… well… just watch:

“We’re gonna fly home on the wings of Jakes Bates” is just a killer line to come up with on the spot.
We’re lucky to have this football team, and we’re extremely lucky to have Miller as the narrator.
