Ranking The 2025 Top 10 NFL Place Kickers

November 23, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

When Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little nailed a spectacular 68-yard field goal, he reset the bar for long-distance kicking. This season, two other place kickers have converted field goals of 60 or more yards. Tampa Bay Buccaneers ’ Chase McLaughlin delivered a 65-yarder while two-time Pro Bowl kicker, Dallas Cowboys’ Brandon Aubrey , converted two 60-yard kicks, connecting a 64-yard field goal along with a 61-yard kick. As 60-plus-yard kicks become the new standard, who are the Top 10 Kickers in the NFL this season?

Ranking The 2025 Top 10 NFL Place Kickers

The bar for NFL place kickers continues to reach new heights as seasoned NFL veterans compete against a wave of young kickers from spring football. Earlier this season, the Green Bay Packers signed former UFL kicker Lucas Havrisik to replace injured veteran Brandon McManus . In his second NFL game, the former (Arlington) Dallas Renegades kicker set a new record for the Green Bay franchise with a stunning 61-yard field goal.

How The Top 10 Kicker List Was Compiled

Ranking the top 10 NFL kickers in 2025 is based on a combination of accuracy in field goals and extra points, as well as long-distance kicking ability. All the kickers on this list have converted a minimum of 12 field goals with 14 or more extra points, and kicked at least one field goal of 55 yards or more.

Find out which NFL kickers are among the most consistent and reliable, giving their team the confidence to place a close game’s outcome at their feet.

#1. Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers

Currently in his fourth season with the L.A. Chargers, Cameron Dicker’s kicking prowess is one of the reasons behind his team’s success this year. In the first 11 games, he’s converted 25/27 field goals with a longest of 59 yards, and has been perfect with 23/23 extra points. A boon to his fantasy managers, Dicker leads all NFL kickers with 110 points.

Boasting one of the best records in the AFC, the 7-4 Chargers are in second place behind the 9-2 Denver Broncos in the AFC West.

#2. Brandon Aubrey, Dallas Cowboys

With his stunning accuracy in driving the ball through the uprights, Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey is consistently one of the top-rated kickers in the league. This season in 10 games, he converted 18/19 field goals (94.7%) and 32/33 extra points (97%). His fantasy managers have earned 103 points.

The former spring football player’s (USFL Birmingham Stallions) original three-year, $2.695 million contract with Dallas is expiring after this season. In 2026, Aubrey is expected to become the NFL’s highest-paid kicker, topping Harrison Butker’s four-year, $25.6 million extension with the Kansas City Chiefs .

The 4-5-1 Cowboys are currently in second place behind the 8-2 Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East Division.

#3. Chase McLaughlin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

One of the most talented veterans on this list, Chase McLaughlin, is having a banner year for Tampa Bay. Currently in his third season with the Buccaneers, McLaughlin kicked the longest field goal of his career, booting a gorgeous 65-yarder in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

In 10 games, he’s converted 83.3% of his field goals (20/24) and only missed one extra point (20/21). In the process, he’s earned his fantasy managers 96 points.

The Buccaneers are currently number one in the NFC South with a 6-4 record.

#4. Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks

Another NFL veteran having an impressive season is Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers . The 11-year vet has one of the strongest legs in the NFL. With at least one field goal over 50 yards in nine of the last ten years, Myers’ longest was a 61-yarder.

This season, he has a 57-yard kick to his credit, connecting on 21/26 field goals and 33/33 extra points. To the delight of his fantasy managers, Myers delivered 107 fantasy points in 10 games.

The 7-3 Seahawks are currently in second place in the very tough NFC West division, a game behind the 8-2 L.A. Rams .

#5. Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers

Unlike other veteran kickers on this list, Chris Boswell has spent his entire career with one team. The 34-year-old Pittsburgh Steelers place kicker is the second-oldest on this list. Showing no signs of slowing down, Boswell kicked a career-best 60-yarder against the New York Jets in Week 1. He’s been incredibly accurate as well, converting 19/22 field goals and all 25 extra points.

Boswell is one of the top four fantasy kickers this season with 102 points.

The 6-4 Steelers maintain a tight one-game lead over the 5-5 Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North.

#6. Eddy Pineiro, San Francisco 49ers

Although the San Francisco 49ers have been challenged by ongoing injuries this season, 30-year-old veteran kicker Eddy Pineiro has been paying dividends in his first year with the team. He’s been perfect on field goals, converting all 22, and converted 18/22 extra points. Pineiro recorded a healthy 59-yarder as his longest.

He’s also been one of the most reliable fantasy kickers, providing his managers with 104 points this season.

Currently, San Francisco is in 3rd place in the very competitive NFC West division with a 7-4 record.

#7. Cam Little, Jacksonville Jaguars

In addition to his exceptional 68-yard record-breaking kick, Cam Little has maintained an 80% efficiency rating for the Jaguars this season with 16/20 field goals, 24/25 of extra points (96%).

Earning a total of 76 fantasy points for his managers, the 22-year-old Arkansas graduate is in his second year with Jacksonville.

The Jags are currently in second place in the AFC South with a 6-4 record.

#8. Jake Bates, Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions kickers second-year kicker Jake Bates burst onto the NFL scene last year following his sensational debut with the Michigan Panthers. The hottest name in the UFL’s inaugural season, Bates nailed a 64-yard field goal, his very first game. But after the kick was nullified by a penalty, the former Texas brick salesman was forced to kick again. Under enormous pressure to provide his team with a walk-off victory, Bates booted the kick straight through the uprights.

However, following a strong first year with Detroit that saw Bates named as an alternate to the Pro Bowl, he’s endured a sophomore slump. In 10 games this season, he’s had two kicks blocked and converted only 13/17 field goals and 33/35 extra points. Nonetheless, he still has one of the strongest legs in the NFL, booting two 58-yard kicks and a 54-yarder this season, providing fantasy managers with 78 points this season.

The 6-4 Lions are currently in 3rd place behind the 7-3 Chicago Bears and 6-3-1 Green Bay Packers in the very tough NFC North division.

#9. Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs

30-year-old Harrison Butker is in his ninth year with Kansas City.   Over the course of his career, the veteran kicker has earned multiple honors and awards, including two Super Bowl rings.  However, this season, Butker has struggled.  He is 16/19 (84.2%) in field goals and 24/28 in extra point attempts.  His longest kick was a 59-yarder.  With only 59 points in 10 games, Butker’s fantasy stats are currently the lowest on this list.

The 5-5 Chiefs are currently in 3rd place in the AFC West division.

#10. Nick Folk, New York Jets

The final name on this Top 10 list may come as a bit of a surprise, given his team’s losing record, but Nick Folk,  the New York Jets’ 41-year-old veteran kicker, has one of the most accurate legs in the league. Folk converted all 19 of his field goal attempts and 14 /14 of his extra points. His longest kick this season was a solid 58-yard boot, earning his fantasy managers 86 points so far this season.

Although the 2-8 Jets are currently in last place in the AFC East division, the team is looking ahead to a strong 2026 season with a bumper crop of first and second-round draft picks.  However, one thing is certain: if Folk returns, the Jets won’t need to draft a kicker.
