The Detroit Lions planned to unveil their new uniforms on Thursday night, but someone may have beaten them to the punch.
Photos of what appear to be their modified jerseys surfaced online Thursday morning. The leak shows white and black jerseys, each with blue lettering, and their signature Honolulu blue with the name and numbers laced in white.
“The tough thing about holding your new uniforms for an unveiling is keeping all the third-party corporate partners in line with the launch, when there’s so little oversight with those. Fanatics ad leaked through USA Today Network, appearing to show Lions’ new look jerseys,” Lions beat reporter Justin Rogers explained.
Here’s a look at the supposed Lions uniforms:

Detroit took the apparent leak in stride. The team shared a video of defensive tackle Alim McNeill, wearing a blue Lions jersey, facetiously thanking the culprit.
“Whoever leaked the uniform video, we appreciate it,” McNeill said. “We appreciate you ruining all the hard work we put in. Video coming soon.”
They also posted a four-second video of Jared Goff holding a jersey and joking that he would take a photo and “leak them to Twitter.”
“Inside job?” the Lions asked, tagging Goff. The quarterback has not answered the allegations.
Based on the swift response, a conspiracy theorist could wonder if the Lions planned a “leak” all along. Yet the unceremonious reveal dampens Thursday’s official launch plans.
The Lions are formally unveiling the new uniforms at Ford Field at 7 p.m. Available to season-ticket members, the event costs $10 per person.
