The Philadephia Eagles are attempting to dethrone the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59. Who are you rooting for?
The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to prevent a three-peat by the Kansas City Chiefs , something absolutely unheard of given the parity of the NFL. We got the worst possible matchup out of all the teams that made it in the playoffs, but hey, there is clearly a lesser evil in Super Bowl 59.
Question of the day: Who are you rooting for in Super Bowl 59?
My answer: Give me the Philadelphia Eagles all day.
The Chiefs reign has been obnoxious and borderline fraudulent. Every Chiefs fan I know acts like the refs are out to get them, and I’m tired of hearing about Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. The reign needs to end and someone needs to put Kansas City and their fans in their place.
Of course, Eagles fans aren’t exactly peaceful either. I’m sure if Philadelphia went on a similar tear the next three years, I’d be in the same spot begging for someone else to dethrone them. But that isn’t the case, so the Eagles are the good guys here as far as I’m concerned. They made their way here with good old fashioned hard-nosed football, not on lucky bounces and some referee calls that one has to sell their soul to get.
More than anything, though, I love rooting for chaos. I would never root for an injury, but imagine Patrick Mahomes gets hurt and Carson Wentz leads the Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory over the Eagles. That would be hilarious. Improbable, but hilarious.
Ultimately I can just hope for a competitive game. But in the meantime, who are you rooting for? Vote below and let us know in the comments.
