The Detroit Lions get to rest while others battle it out in the Wild Card round. Which game are you most excited to watch this weekend?
With the Detroit Lions locking up the No. 1 seed in the NFC, fans now have the privilege of relaxing for a weekend of anxiety-free NFL Playoff football. The following weekend, the Lions will match up with the lowest remaining seed in the NFC that advances through the Wild Card round.
Saturday’s slate gives us two AFC matchups. For the early game, the Houston Texans will host the Los Angeles Chargers at 4:30 p.m. ET. And following that is a divisional matchup with the Baltimore Ravens hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers at 8:00 p.m. ET.
On Sunday, you have the Denver Broncos traveling to Buffalo to face the Bills at 1:00 p.m. ET, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles vs. the Green Bay Packers in Philly at 4:30 p.m. ET, capped off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting the Washington Commanders at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Lastly, as a result of their blowout loss to the Lions, the fifth-seeded Minnesota Vikings will travel to Los Angeles and face the Rams on “Monday Night Football” at 8:00 p.m. ET to finish off the Wild Card round.
Today’s Question of the Day is…
Which Wild Card game are you most excited to watch?
My answer: There are a lot of really good matchups to choose from and judging from the Vegas lines, there should be some really close games, too. I’m actually quite excited about the Commanders-Bucs game. I think the Commanders have a pretty good shot at upsetting the Bucs, and if that happens, combined with a Packers loss, then that would mean that the Lions would face off against the Commanders in the Divisional round, no matter the outcome of the Vikings-Rams game.
I’d like to see the Lions match up against a team they haven’t played against yet, and since the Eagles and Lions can’t play each other until the NFC Championship game, I think it’d be cool to see them host the Commanders in two weeks.
