The Lions had several highlight plays from their win over Seattle on “Monday Night Football.” Which one was your favorite?
The Seattle Seahawks came to Ford Field for another chapter in their storied recent history with the Detroit Lions . It didn’t disappoint, and we got an instant classic and a Lions win. I’m biased, of course, since the Lions came out on top, but that felt like the best of the several close games against the Seahawks in the past decade. It was clean, quality football on both sides, with plenty of highlights to show for it.
Question of the day: What was your favorite play from the Lions’ Week 4 win over the Seattle Seahawks?
A few come to mind immediately—The Jared Special , David Montgomery’s beast mode run , Jack Campbell’s forced fumble , Kerby Joseph’s improbable game-sealing interception , and Jamo’s long touchdown and ensuing Calvin Johnson tribute.
My answer: for me, it was Jamo’s long touchdown, for a few reasons. For starters, it was an incredible throw by Jared Goff. He was patient in the pocket and showed the best anticipation we’ve seen out of him all year on that throw, loading up the pass before Jamo had even crossed the linebacker in the middle of the field.

On top of that, it was the kind of long and electric play we haven’t seen a ton of in the Lions offense lately. Even when Jamo catches long balls, he historically hasn’t gotten much opportunity to run after the catch. This looked like the Jamo we saw in his last year at Alabama. To add insult to injury, Jamo started high-stepping about thirty yards from the end zone. How can you not love this guy?
Finally, the cherry on top was Jamo dunking the football as a tribute to Calvin Johnson’s Ring of Honor induction. It was well-executed, and such a thoughtful touch from a guy who was probably still in middle school during Calvin’s best days.
