With one day in the books, what do you want to see in Day 2 of joint practices with the Giants?
One day down, one more to go. After an action-packed first day of joint practices between the Detroit Lions and the New York Giants , the teams have one more practice together on Tuesday prior to their preseason matchup on Thursday evening.
There were plenty of skirmishes during Day 1, but ultimately it appears that both teams got some good work in. And to that defensive back who jumped on Lions’ right tackle Penei Sewell’s back during one scuffle—I am watching you. Closely.
That brings us to today’s Question of the Day:
What do you want to see during day 2 of Lions-Giants joint practices?
My Answer: I can’t lie, I want to see a little bit of domination. Look, I get this is the NFL and every team in the league has talent on their rosters, but only one of the teams on that field today has true championship aspirations. Seeing the Lions go out there on Day 2 and handle business would be a nice thing to read about.
If we are getting into specifics, I would also like to hear about how the secondary did a good job of slowing down Giants’ rookie receiver Malik Nabers after the young playmaker appeared to have himself a day on Monday. Beyond that, the Lions’ defensive front getting the better of a Giants’ offensive line would be another sign that things are trending up for a unit that has been praised since camp began over a week ago.
How about you? What do you want to see during Day 2 of joint practices in New Jersey? Let us know by leaving a comment with your answer at the bottom of the page.
