Open thread: How many road games will the Lions win in 2025?

The Lions stare down a daunting road schedule in 2025. How many wins will they walk away with?

The Detroit Lions enter 2025 with what appears to be one of the tougher schedules in the league. When we zoom in on their toughest matchups, they tend to have one thing in common: they’re road games.

The Lions will visit their usual divisional hosts in the Chicago Bears , Green Bay Packers , and Minnesota Vikings throughout the year. Between those games, the Lions also travel to play both of last year’s Super Bowl teams in the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles , a perennial Super Bowl favorite in the Baltimore Ravens , and the remaining 2024 NFC Divisional Round Playoff teams in the Los Angeles Rams and the Washington Commanders . Then, there are the Cincinnati Bengals .

Just to put that in perspective, of the eight best teams in the NFL last year based on the playoffs, the Lions are one, and they will face five of the remaining seven on the road.

Question of the day: How many road games will the Lions win in 2025?

When you look at the teams the Lions will have to face on the road, their divisional rivals suddenly don’t look that bad. I think the Lions sweep the Packers and drop one of their road games against the Vikings or the Bears, leaving them 2-1 in divisional road games.

Out of the remaining six, I think they’ll beat the Eagles, get revenge on the Commanders, and take care of business against the Rams. The Bengals shouldn’t put up too much of a fight unless they really turn things around following a rough 2024. That’s four more wins. I think the Chiefs will be too much to handle on the road though (and I don’t think they’ve forgotten the Lions’ upset to open 2023). And as much as I’d like to think the Lions will have a better outing this time in Baltimore compared to last time’s beatdown, I don’t think it’ll be enough to put the Ravens away.

That puts the Lions at 6-3 on the road. How many road wins do you think the Lions will have in 2025? Can they pull off the upset in Kansas City again? Will they take care of business against their divisional rivals? Vote below and let us know your thoughts.
