Come hang out with us during the 1 p.m. ET games while we wait for Lions vs. Packers.
The NFC North in its entirety is off for the early slate of Week 9. Of course, the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers face off at 4:25 p.m. ET. The Chicago Bears take on the Arizona Cardinals at 4:05 p.m. ET. While the Minnesota Vikings close out Sunday with a game against the Indianapolis Colts on “Sunday Night Football.”
That leaves us with a relatively uneventful early slate of games to watch. Sure, you could watch the Commanders (6-2) to see if the Lions can extend their lead in the NFC, but they’re playing the lowly Giants (2-6). The Falcons (5-3) and Cowboys (3-4) also has playoff implications in the NFC, but both teams have looked deeply flawed at times.
Honestly, the game that may have the most interest for Lions fans is Chargers vs. Browns . While the AFC matchup obviously has no playoff implications for the Lions, it’s become painfully obvious that Detroit is interested in trading for Browns defensive end Za’Darius Smith. If the Browns lose Sunday, they’ll drop to 2-7 and clearly be sellers at the deadline. However, if they win, a 3-6 record gives them some life—albeit still longshot odds for the playoffs.
Here’s a look at the early morning slate, while we wait for our Detroit Lions.
