The Detroit Lions hope to get back on the winning side this week as they host the Denver Broncos in a Saturday night football game televised by NFL Network (locally by FOX2). Detroit has not lost two games in a row in well over a year, but their level of play recently has some worried. Detroit has lost two of their last three, and their win in between against the New Orleans Saints went down to the wire.
Meanwhile, the Broncos have won six of seven and are suddenly in the thick of the AFC playoff race. Their defense has made a drastic turnaround while their offense isn’t bad, but isn’t great either.
A win from Detroit would inch them closer to their first NFC North title ever, and their first divisional title since 1993.
