The Detroit Lions roster was stacked in 2024, and it remains in a strong place moving into 2025.
The Detroit Lions ’ 2024 season was special in so many ways. While it didn’t end the way anyone wanted, they still managed a franchise-high 15 regular season wins and won back-to-back division titles for the first time since the 1950s.
Behind the Lions’ success was a stacked roster on both sides of the ball. Detroit had six All-Pro players in 2024 and seven were announced to the initial Pro Bowl team. Unfortunately, the health of the group didn’t hold up for the rest of the season, but Detroit fans should feel good knowing that most of that roster is hanging around in 2025 and beyond.
To get a sense of just how good the Lions roster was last year, take a look at PFF’s Top 101 Players of 2024 list . In it, you’ll find nine Detroit Lions players—eight of which are signed on for the 2025 season, and seven of which were draft picks from Lions general manager Brad Holmes.
Here’s a look at which Lions made the list, and where they placed among PFF’s rankings:
86. Aidan Hutchinson
84. Jack Campbell
60. Kevin Zeitler
55. Brian Branch
49. Amon-Ra St. Brown
47. Frank Ragnow
36. Jahmyr Gibbs
26. Penei Sewell
19. Kerby Joseph
Note that this list does not include significant contributors like fourth-runner up to the MVP award Jared Goff, David Montgomery, Sam LaPorta, Alim McNeill, Alex Anzalone, Carlton Davis, or Jack Fox. You could certainly make an argument for over a dozen players to make this list.
The only team in the NFL that had more players make this list was the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles , who came in with 11 players.
If you’re wondering about the rest of the division, the other three teams combined had only six players on the list (Bears: 1, Vikings: 2, Packers : 3).
While rankings like this are largely meaningless, they are a strong reminder that Detroit’s roster has a ton of high-end talent, and that isn’t changing anytime soon.
