The Lions defeated the Vikings this past Sunday, clinching the NFC North for the first time in team history. It also marked the franchise’s first playoff berth since 2016.
Kelly Stafford, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, showed love to the Lions on Instagram this Tuesday afternoon.
Stafford spent the first 12 years of his NFL career with the Lions, throwing for 45,109 yards and 282 touchdowns. To this day, he’s a fan favorite in Detroit.
“I am so happy about this,” Kelly Stafford wrote. “A fan unless we are playing them. LFG.”

We might revisit this post from Stafford in two weeks.
Oddly enough, there’s a real chance the Lions and Rams meet in the opening round of the NFC playoffs. Stafford would obviously root for her husband’s current squad in that scenario.
For now though, Stafford is showing love to a franchise that has waited a long time to win the NFC North.
